At first glance, the primary benefit of multimedia is the combination of several traditional media. Text offers clarity and self-pacing. The spoken word can be even more accessible. Graphics provide visualization and communicate style. Music imparts mood and character. Video captures the moving events of the world surround us. Computers store and access vast amounts of information. Various combinations of these media and disciplines can indeed be formidable communication vehicles.
